Murrays Grandmother Pride

The grandmother of British tennis ace Andy Murray has said that she is "very proud" of her grandson despite his defeat in the US Open final.Shirley Erskine said she was sure that the 21-year-old Scot would defenitely bounce back after losing in straight sets to Roger Federer. More than 100 people in the Dunblane Centre,a community hall, gathered on Monday night to cheer Murray on his bid to become the first British male to win a Grand Slam singles title since 1936. Andy Murray said after being defeated by Roger in the finals, he has more work to do if he is to go one better than his US Open final defeat by Roger Federer and win a Grand Slam title.Murray praised Federer, who took another step towards sporting immortality by collecting his 13th Grand Slam title to stand just one behind all-time record holder Pete Sampras.
