Continuous rain since early Tuesday has drenched the outfield of the Chidambaram stadium. Forecasts says there might be a heavy rain over the next 3 days due to cyclonic storm from bay of Bengal moving towards the southern city. Kannan the chief groundsman in the stadium said that "We need bright sunshine to prepare a good wicket, but there has been a lot of rain".
